Qualipak (Pty) Ltd (“Qualipak“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit qualipak.co.za (the “Website“) or otherwise engage with us.

Where this happens, we ensure the transfer complies with section 72 of POPIA — meaning the recipient is either subject to laws, binding rules, or contracts that provide an adequate level of protection for personal information.

7. How long we keep your personal information

We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as the law requires:

General enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months
Quotation and project records: for the duration of the project and 5 years thereafter
Accounting and tax records: at least 5 years, as required by the Tax Administration Act and Companies Act
Website analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention period (currently 14 months)

After these periods, information is deleted or de-identified.

8. Cookies and analytics

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use the site. We group cookies into:

Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Website to function (for example, remembering your cookie preferences). These cannot be disabled.

We do not send unsolicited marketing. If you have engaged with us about a project or enquiry, we may occasionally contact you with information we believe is relevant to that engagement. You can opt out at any time by replying to any such email or contacting us directly.
